What is a Context?

Webster’s Dictionary defines a context as,  "The whole situation, the background or the environment relevant to a particular event, personality, creation, etc."   A context is the environment in which something is or occurs.   Contexts are vitally important because they control/influence/affect everything within them.

For Example:   Your auto headlights are not important in the context of  driving your car on on a sunny afternoon, but in the context of driving on a busy highway at night, those same headlights are critically important.

For a  detailed discussion of contexts and to learn why shifting the context in which corporations do business  is critically important  for humans to be successful at Reversing Global Warming, please see the TLC-Life-Center's website about contexts at:   http://www.TextAndContext.info '

TLC-Life-Center's
Climate Change Awareness and Reversal Project.

We have three main goals:

1)  The reversal of Global warming,

2)  The collective transformation of human  consciousness.    The transformation of human consciousness  is the next major step in reversing Global Warming.

3)  To make significant improvements in the  lives of those who participate with us.

Religion and Reality

What is God?   Before you can offer any meaningful answers to questions about God or make and useful statements or have a reasonably meaningful discussion about religion, you need to define what you mean when you say, "God."

http://www.Does-God-Exist.net

Are You Inside or Outside of GodThe second major factor in discussing religion is to answer the question,  "Are you inside or outside of God?   In all of human history, there never has been and probably never will be another distinction as important as:  "Are you inside or outside of God?"  This belief, no matter which perspective one believes, is the underlying context which dominates and controls vast amounts of human behavior.

Beliefs not Facts  The third major factor to consider in discussing religion is that the only thing we can say with certainty about God, is that whatever it is, it has a profound affect upon us.     Beyond that, what can we say about God with provable certainty?   When someone speaks about God, they are referring to that unknown and unknowable source of all that transcends understanding.   Thus, they tell us absolutely nothing about what God actually is or isn't.   They are, instead, expressing what they believe about God.    Even atheists who believe that there is no such thing as a source or a creator are only expressing an opinion / belief.

What If . . .    What if everybody's truth is correct, but only within it's own context.   What if all truths are only part truths?    What if  some of the additional and previously-missing pieces of information were to be added to each truth?   How would that change the meaning of present-day religious beliefs?

What if whatever it is that we call "God" is the ultimate mystery of life?  What if we really don't know what God is, or how He/She/It  functions.   What if life doesn't begin and conception, at birth or at any other place?   What if life simply changes form and moves into a different dimension of reality?   What if there are dimensions where time and space, as we know them, don't exist?   What if the universe is filled with mysteries about which we are profoundly ignorant?   What if the origin of life and the consciousness behind that origin are unknown and unknowable?

What if there actually is  a difference between reality and what we believe about reality?   What if we really don't know all those things we claim to know?

What if
life is not
what you've been
led to believe it is by
those who claim to know?

And regardless of what you or I or anybody else believes about whatever it is we call "God," The Source of the Universe is whatever it is, it functions however it functions, and it remains the worlds greatest unsolved mystery.   So the next time you hear someone telling that they know something about God, particularly if they claim to know something  that you don't, simple smile, excuse your self, and leave as quickly as possible.

Why Political Manipulators Promote  Censorship:

Because sexual censorship is really political censorship.    It's easy to promote political censorship and hide it behind sexual censorship because political freedom and sexual freedom go hand in hand.°    Literature that exposes the establishment's shortfalls often also contains words or pictures relating to sex.   For the purpose of maintaining control, the political leaders, disguised as protectors of public morals, will attack a publication saying its sexual content is obscene when in reality, they are attempting to silence those who expose or criticize their shady, political, financial, and/or personal activities.

Censorship Links:

Do you remember when the so-called "moral majority" threatened to boycott 7-11 if it didn't stop selling Playboy and Penthouse.   Well here's a recent story related to that issue..

Abraham Lincoln Quote on Prohibition

"Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. . .   A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principle upon which our government was founded."

____________________ Abraham Lincoln -- 1840

You might also note that making something illegal does not now, nor has it ever, stopped the prohibited activity or the sale of the prohibited items.   What it does do is raise the prices and produce huge profits for the sellers.   You've probably herd the term for illegal selling --  "black market."   Prices may be ten to thirty times what the same item would cost without the prohibition.

These huge economic incentives bring some people into activities that they never would otherwise engage in.   How many thousands of times has prohibition made criminals out of the financially desperate individuals?

"Resident" Bush

Question:

Why do you disrespect President Bush by referring to him as "Resident" Bush?

Answer:

Because, in my opinion, he is not now and never was a duly elected President.   1)  In 2000, he lost the popular vote.  2)   In the 2000 election, there was so much manipulation of the voting system in Florida that the legitimacy of his winning Florida electoral vote is in serious question.   3)  He was put in office by a conservative Supreme Court and not by the People.   4) A fair way to decide the Florida vote would have been to re-do the Florida election.   That did not happen.   If it had happened, Mr. Bush would not be in the White House today.    5)  The accuracy of the voting counting process  in the 2004 election is seriously questionable.   So the bottom line is that he is, in my opinion, only  a "resident" in the White House --   i. e. "Resident" Bush.

Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus

Dear Editor,

I am 8 years old.   Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.   Papa says, "If you see it in The Sun, [the New York Sun newspaper]  it's so."   Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus?

Virginia O'Hanlon

Virginia, your little friends are wrong.   They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age.   They do not believe except [what] they see.   They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds.   All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little.   In this great universe of ours, man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.   He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy.   Alas!   How dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus!   It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias.   There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence.   We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight.   The external light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus!   You might as well not believe in fairies.   You might get your papa to have men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if you did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove?   Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus.   The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see.   Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn?   Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there.   Nobody can conceive of imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest mean, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived could tear apart.   Only faith, poetry, love romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond.   Is it all real?   Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus!   Thank God!   He lives and lives forever.   A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay 10 times 10,000 years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.
