Don’t Bother to Read This.

In working to wake-people-up to the necessity of changing their attitude about how we (the collective we)  are treating the environment,  I'm  all-to-often amazed by the glib, casual, I-couldn't--care-less attitude that I commonly encounter.    

We are causing the extinction of our fellow passengers on Space Ship Earth at a rate that now exceeds that which occurred at the time of the extinction of the dinosaurs.   We destroy our forests, pollute our rivers, our lakes, and now even the ocean itself.   

We are a disease blighting the only inhabitable piece of real estate within billions of miles of where we sit in our, smug,  full-of-ourselves-attitude of "who cares."    Daily, we increase  the rate at which we turn the breathable air into a gaseous sewer.   We condemn billions of our own children and grandchildren to die horrible, miserable deaths.   

It's as if someone is destroying our home, polluting our yard,  sh_ _ing on the front porch, raping our mother, murdering our pets, and we say, "Who cares?   Don't bother me,  I'm busy."     We declare that our collective, mass-murder doesn't matter.   We'll just go someplace else.   We forget that we are here on Earth as guests, with the obligation of being stewards.   What other "Earth" is going to welcome a species with a galactic reputation of "Conan the Destroyer?"

And what are the karmic consequences of this me-first-screw-you attitude?   Guess who is going to have to reincarnate in the garbage dump and reap the consequences of our ignorance and apathy.    If you don’t know, look in any mirror.

Unfortunately, those among us who choose life are going to die with those of us bent on committing collective-suicide.   In our race into self-destruction, billions of innocent life forms are about to die with us.   Billions have already died.   And a delightful piece of "Eden" is about to be lost forever.   You still have a choice, but not for long.   Here's your choice:

Wake up!     or       

    Die and reincarnate into a garbage dump!

We can rape the Earth and not reap the consequences.   I can't do anything about it.   What I do is not important.   It's not my problem.   Someone else will fix it.    Death and misery are inevitable; they're God’s punishment for sin.   The Rapture will save me.   During the days of the American Revolution, they used to say, "Let George do it"   

Well, Mr. & Mrs. Helpless,  we have a very different George today.  As it turns out,  George hasn't been doing it for us.   He's been doing it to us, so turn around and bend over.   George is knocking on your door.
