Regardless of Cause,  

   We are Still Experiencing an Effect

If we don't know the cause, 
can we ignore the affect?   

If humans are not the cause of Global Warming, we (the collective "we") are still experiencing a devastatingly destructive  weather changes.   Suppose for a moment that those who deny that human activity is the cause of Global Warming are correct.    Then what?   Does that mean we can simply ignore what is occurring on the planet.   

   Shall we simply allow all the mountain glaciers to melt and leave billions of people with out water in the dry season?    

   Shall we simply sit back  and allow Iceland and  Greenland glaciers to melt resulting in the stopping the ocean currents resulting in turning Europe into a mini-ice-age

   Shall we continue the wanton, wholesale destruction or our environment?    

   Shall we allow the oceans to rise forty feet, flooding out hundreds of millions  of people?

If human activity is  not the cause, we desperately need to know what is!    And we need to take whatever actions we can to Reverse Global Warming.  

What If You Are Wrong?

If you think that Global Warming is not happening, is it possible that you are wrong?   Have you ever been wrong?   When you were being wrong, did you know you were being wrong?  Is it possible that you could be wrong right now?   

Is it prudent to bet the future of humanity on your personal belief that Global Warming is not happening?   Is it prudent to bet your children's lives, your grandchildren's lives, the lives of over six billion other humans, and the lives of most other life forms on the planet?   

Making Correctable Errors

And one other thing to consider --  if you are wrong, your mistake will not be correctable !  If you work with those of us who are concerned about Global Climate Change  and we turn out to be wrong, correcting our error ten years from today will be simple.   But if you bet that Global Warming is not real and you are wrong, that error is not correctable.   If we do nothing today, several competent scientists say that  in ten years, the Global Warming process will be so strong that it will be unstoppable.  If that happens billions of humans will experience horrific grief and misery.   Millions will die prematurely.     Is this the kind of chance you want to take?
